{"id":11247,"date":"2014-12-02T20:00:26","date_gmt":"2014-12-03T01:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gayfriendschat.com\/socialblog\/european-union-rules-asylum-seeker-tests-for-homosexuality-unlawful\/"},"modified":"2014-12-02T20:00:26","modified_gmt":"2014-12-03T01:00:26","slug":"european-union-rules-asylum-seeker-tests-for-homosexuality-unlawful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gayfriendschat.com\/socialblog\/european-union-rules-asylum-seeker-tests-for-homosexuality-unlawful\/","title":{"rendered":"European Union Rules Asylum Seeker Tests For Homosexuality Unlawful"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>European Union Rules Asylum Seeker Tests For Homosexuality Unlawful<\/b><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/towleroad.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c730253ef01b8d09f99e8970c-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Eu-court-460_998658c\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/towleroad.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c730253ef01b8d09f99e8970c-800wi\" title=\"Eu-court-460_998658c\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.towleroad.com\/2014\/07\/eu-advocate-general-urges-european-court-of-justice-to-drop-gay-blood-donation-ban.html\" target=\"_self\" title=\"European Court of Justice\">The European Court of Justice<\/a> (ECJ) today ruled that <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=R2Xc&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">gay<\/a> asylum seekers do not need to undergo a test to prove they are homosexual, reports <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bignewsnetwork.com\/index.php\/sid\/228154543\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Big News Network\">Big News Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.towleroad.com\/2013\/11\/european-court-of-human-rights-persecuted-gays-from-africa-have-grounds-for-asylum.html\" target=\"_self\" title=\"ECJ\">The ECJ had ruled last year that persecuted gay people from Africa have grounds for asylum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Due to severe anti-<a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=R2Xc&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">gay<\/a> laws in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.towleroad.com\/2014\/02\/president-obama-condemns-signing-of-anti-gay-law-in-uganda-warns-it-will-complicate-relations.html\" target=\"_self\" title=\"anti-gay law Uganda\">a number of African countries<\/a> there has been an increase in the number of asylum seekers in the European Union (EU).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The decision came after three <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=R2Xc&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">men<\/a> failed in their attempts to seek asylum in the Netherlands after the Dutch court ruled they had not proved their sexuality.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The ECJ said determination of a refugee&#8217;s sexuality must be in accord with EU law and cannot infringe on rights to privacy and dignity.
