Bombshell<\/em> hits cinemas this December 13, bringing with it a whole lot of, well, bombshells.<\/p>\n

As directed by Jay Roach (Meet the Parents<\/em>, the\u00a0Austin Powers<\/em> series) and written by Charles Randolph (The Big Short<\/em>), the movie recounts the toxic work environment at Fox News in the leadup to the 2016 Presidential Election. Anchors Gretchen Carlson<\/a> (Nicole Kidman) and Megyn Kelly<\/a> (Charlize Theron) fight to survive in the male<\/a>-dominated environment overseen by media mogul Roger Ailes<\/a> (John Lithgow). Ailes has an agenda to push right-wing outrage, rumors and political talking points\u2026and to take advantage of ambitious young women<\/a> like Kayla (Margot Robbie) who\u2019s career goals allow Ailes to thrive as a sexual predator. The film also stars Kate McKinnon<\/a> in a dramatic role as Jess, a closeted lesbian<\/a> trying to survive at Fox.<\/p>\n
