Alec Baldwin\u2019s Donald Trump faced a throng of reporters in SNL\u2019s Cold Open asking him about the impeachment hearings that took place this week. Baldwin\u2019s Trump was prepared, however, with the set of \u201cblack licorice\u201d notes that went viral this week, and a very loud helicopter that prevented him from hearing any of the reporters\u2019 questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt sounds like you said Sondland\u2019s testimony completely exonerated me, and I totally agree.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldwin\u2019s Trump continued: \u201cThis is me and Ambassador Sondland talking. He says to me, \u2018What do you want?\u2019 And I answer, \u2018Two large pies, extra cheese, extra sauce.\u2019 No, wait, that\u2019s a different phone call<\/a>. I said to Sondland, \u2018I want nothing. No quid pro quo, bro.\u2019 See? It\u2019s right here in black licorice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldwin\u2019s Trump told reporters that it \u201cdoesn\u2019t matter\u201d what Sondland told the House impeachment inquiry: \u201cI told him no quid pro quo at least once. So any quid I did after that is on them, that\u2019s how it works. It\u2019s like when you meet a girl<\/a> and you say if you\u2019re a cop, you\u2019ve got\u00a0 to tell me. Besides, I don\u2019t know this Ambassador Sondland guy<\/a>, that\u2019s fake news.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it just so happened Ferrell\u2019s Sondland was within earshot.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so great to finally meet you for the first time, by the way,\u201d as Ferrell\u2019s Sondland appeared.<\/p>\n

Replied Ferrell\u2019s Sondland: \u201cOh, right, right, right. Keep the quid pro quo on the low-low, got it. I just want to go on the record and say you guys<\/a> need to lay off my boy<\/a>. Everybody loves his ass<\/a>\u2026 Ukraine, Russia. They\u2019ll do anything for this man<\/a>. I know, I asked.\u201d<\/p>\n
