New Trump Advisor Believes Homosexuality is an \u2018Abomination\u2019, Won\u2019t Appear on a Show with a Gay Host \u2018and Pretend Like That\u2019s Normal\u2019 \u2014 WATCH<\/b><\/p>\n

Media Matters reports<\/a> that Donald Trump has a new surrogate named Clarence Mason Weaver who believes that homosexuality is \u201cevil\u201d and \u201can abomination.\u201d Weaver believes that there is nothing wrong with being homophobic, and has warned people to \u201cworry about homosexual training\u201d in schools. He has said he would not appear on a program with a gay<\/a> host, and would have a problem with gay<\/a> co-workers.<\/p>\n

Weaver, a right-wing commentator was recently named to an advisory board position in Trump\u2019s campaign.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a video<\/a> Weaver posted about a Best Buy ad he saw which featured a lesbian<\/a> which made him tell his daughter \u201chomosexuality is a abomination. Not just a sin. It\u2019s\u00a0abomination.\u201d<\/p>\n

Added Weaver: \u201cHow can you find common ground with evil and sin? \u2026 I can work with homosexuals. I\u2019ve worked with a lot of homosexuals. Worked with a lot of them. Political and social things.\u00a0But I\u2019m not going to stand there and pretend like that\u2019s not a sin. Like you would not \u2014 I would not pretend like I don\u2019t sin. I would not pretend, I\u2019m not going to try to fool God to make you feel comfortable. I appear on programs all the time with homosexuals. I will not appear on a program with a homosexual host and pretend like that\u2019s normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weaver continued: \u201cIt can be very difficult for you to tell me as a woman<\/a>, \u2018Hey, this is Betty, my wife.\u2019\u00a0You\u2019re not going to get a \u2018congratulations.\u201d\u00a0No. I may say, \u2018How you doing?\u201d\u00a0If you ask me what I think about you being married to that woman<\/a>, you\u2019re going to get your feelings hurt. You\u2019re going to get your feelings hurt. Christians stand up for God, and when you stand up for God, you\u2019re going to upset the ungodly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Media Matters adds<\/a>: \u201cWeaver has frequently pushed misogynistic rhetoric, including saying that women<\/a> aren\u2019t equal to men<\/a> and that they damaged society when they won the \u201dright\u2019 to leave the home and go to work\u2019; claiming that women<\/a> who report sexual misconduct at work are the reason \u2018why we don\u2019t want to be around you in a business\u2019; and stating that women<\/a> should carry themselves as \u2018handmaidens\u2019 and \u2018be submissive.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Media Matters wrote earlier this week: \u201cThe Trump campaign recently\u00a0launched<\/a>\u00a0its \u2018Black Voices for Trump\u2019 coalition, with President Donald Trump\u00a0speaking<\/a>\u00a0at a rally in Atlanta, GA. The campaign also\u00a0announced the members of its advisory board, which includes numerous right-wing media personalities such as radio host\u00a0Herman Cain<\/a>, Fox Nation hosts\u00a0Diamond and Silk<\/a>, and Fox News contributors\u00a0Deneen Borelli<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Alveda King<\/a>.\u00a0The campaign lists the\u00a0involvement of\u00a0Clarence Mason Weaver<\/a>\u00a0(who usually goes by Mason Weaver in media appearances and also lists his name as Clarence A. Mason on his website), a right-wing author and purported motivational speaker.\u201d<\/p>\n
