Karamo Brown Says He Planted Seeds in Sean Spicer\u2019s Hurtful Heart: \u2018I Think He\u2019s Exceptional\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n

Queer Eye\u2019s Karamo Brown spoke out again about his relationship with Sean Spicer after his elimination from Dancing with the Stars<\/em> on Monday and according to Brown, his friendship with the former Trump Press Secretary has blossomed.<\/p>\n

Brown deleted his Twitter account<\/a>\u00a0in August after joining the show in response to backlash he received for remarks that he was \u201cexcited to sit down w\/ [Dancing with the Stars<\/em>\u00a0co-star and former Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer] and engage in a respectful conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before deleting his Twitter, Brown had tried to clarify his remarks, but that didn\u2019t go tell well either: \u201cA trained social worker and my first instinct is always to sit down and have a conversation. But I understand how my comments could lead people to believe that I don\u2019t understand the gravity of the situation. The personal is political\u2026 I\u2019m reminded of it daily as a gay<\/a> man<\/a> of color. I know that representation matters\u2013that it can affect change. I see you & I hear you. I\u2019m bringing my personal message of love, equity & inclusion to the dance floor. I want it to eclipse & triumph over divisiveness & hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now Brown says he has succeeded at something. He told People<\/em><\/a>: \u201cThrough this process, Sean\u2019s trailer has been next to mine and I have literally every day been planting seeds in his heart. \u2018When you made this comment, it hurt me as a man<\/a>. When you made this comment, it hurt me as a person of color. When you made this comment, it hurt me as a gay<\/a> man<\/a>.\u2019 And literally, I could see each week those seeds \u2026 blossoming and that\u2019s why he got emotional [when I was sent home].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSean is literally someone who I would\u2019ve never thought I could be friends with, and I\u2019m going to walk away from here calling him a friend,\u201d Brown added. \u201cI\u2019m going to continue the conversation that we\u2019ve had outside of this. And I don\u2019t think Sean\u2019s going to make it to the end [of the competition], but I\u2019m proud of him. I really am proud of him, because he\u2019s had fun every week and I think he\u2019s exceptional.\u201d<\/p>\n

Said Spicer of Brown: \u201cIt just speaks to what a great person he is, that he\u2019s trying to bridge divides.\u201d<\/p>\n
