An emergency room nurse from TriHealth hospital in Cincinatti, Ohio has been suspended from her job after having a transphobic, homophobic meltdown on Facebook over tampons.<\/p>\n

Cindy Carter took to Facebook last week to voice her outrage over Procter & Gamble going gender neutral by removing the female<\/a> \u201cVenus\u201d symbol from its packaging on its \u2018Always\u2019 menstrual products.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201cF*ck \u2018Always.\u2019 This country has gone to complete sh*t,\u201d Carter raged. \u201cWomen have periods, men<\/a> don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy do certain applications ask for LEGAL SEX \u2026 you\u2019re either male<\/a> or female<\/a>. There\u2019s no f*cking in between. Jesus people \u2013 get your heads on straight. Grab a mirror \u2013 it\u2019s easy. You either have a d*ck or you don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI swear, these f*cking c*ck sucking homos think that they deserve everything. And the confused woman<\/a> are just as bad. Men need to be men<\/a>. Women need to be women<\/a>. Stop the stupid ass<\/a> \u2018man<\/a> buns\u2019 and man<\/a> you buns up to do some hard labor.\u201d<\/p>\n

When\u00a0gay<\/a> city councilman Chris Seelbach saw the rant, he took a screenshot and shared it on Facebook, along with the caption: \u201cCindy Carter is a nurse at\u00a0TriHealth. As an LGBTQ+ person, I don\u2019t feel comfortable using TriHealth\u2019s services until I know a person who thinks I\u2019m a \u2018fucking<\/a> cock<\/a> sucking homo\u2019 would ever treat me. Until TriHealth terminates the employment of Cindy Carter, I will not be using their services. #BoycottTriHealth\u201d<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for TriHealth to snap into action. The hospital almost immediately placed Carter on administrative leave and launched an investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n

Local news station WCPO<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n

The nurse at the center of the controversy was suspended for her own safety and that of others, according to an official TriHealth statement. She did not respond to requests for comment. An investigation is ongoing. In an internal memo, TriHealth wrote that every patient is entitled to reliable and compassionate care.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yesterday, Seelback took to Facebook to thank TriHealth for stepping up, tweeting: \u201cThanks to <\/span>@TriHealth<\/a> <\/span>for putting Cindy Carter on administrative leave. That\u2019s a good first step. No one who thinks I am a \u2018f*cking c*ck sucking homo\u2019 and that transgender people don\u2019t exist should be treating patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
