An emergency room nurse who works for Cincinatti\u2019s TriHealth has been suspended after a transphobic, homophobic Facebook rant was brought to her employer\u2019s attention by gay<\/a> City Councilman Chris Seelbach.<\/p>\n

Cindy Carter, the nurse, made the remarks on Facebook in response to Procter & Gamble\u2019s decision to remove the female \u201cVenus\u201d symbol from the packaging on its \u2018Always\u2019<\/a> menstrual products.<\/p>\n

Wrote Carter: \u201cF**k \u2018Always.\u2019 This country has gone to complete sh*t. Women have periods, men<\/a> don\u2019t. Why do certain applications ask for LEGAL SEX \u2026 you\u2019re either male<\/a> or female<\/a>. There\u2019s no f**king in between. Jesus people \u2013 get your heads on straight. Grab a mirror \u2013 it\u2019s easy. You either have a dick<\/a> or you don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carter continued. \u201cI swear, these f**king c*ck sucking h*mos think that they deserve everything. And the confused woman<\/a> are just as bad. Men need to be men<\/a>. Women need to be women<\/a>. Stop the stupid ass<\/a> \u2018man<\/a> buns\u2019 and man<\/a> you buns up to do some hard labor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seelbach posted a screenshot of the full exchange (below), writing, \u201cCindy Carter is a nurse at\u00a0TriHealth. As an LGBTQ+ person, I don\u2019t feel comfortable using TriHealth\u2019s services until I know a person who thinks I\u2019m a \u2018fucking<\/a> cock<\/a> sucking homo\u2019 would ever treat me. Until TriHealth terminates the employment of Cindy Carter, I will not be using their services. #BoycottTriHealth\u201d<\/p>\n

Seelbach later added, \u201cNo one who thinks I am a \u201cf**king c*ck sucking h*mo\u201d and that transgender people don\u2019t exist should be treating patients.\u201d<\/p>\n

WCPO reports<\/a>: \u201cThe nurse at the center of the controversy was suspended for her own safety and that of others, according to an official TriHealth statement. She did not respond to requests for comment. An investigation is ongoing. In an internal memo, TriHealth wrote that every patient is entitled to reliable and compassionate care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seelbach posted a video<\/a> following the nurse\u2019s suspension, updating constitutents and followers on the situation and saying he was pleased with TriHealth\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n
