Kathy Griffin Destroys L.A. News Anchor Who Tries to Mansplain the Comedy Scene to Her: WATCH<\/b><\/p>\n

Kathy Griffin on Wednesday clapped back at an L.A. news anchor who had the gall to question her claim that she doesn\u2019t get work because she\u2019s a 58-year-old woman<\/a> and comedy is a male<\/a>-dominated field.<\/p>\n

While doing promotion for her new film, Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story<\/em>, she said: \u201cBy the way, I still do not one single day of paid work ahead of me for the rest of my life, you tell me that\u2019s not because I\u2019m a 58-year-old female<\/a> in comedy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meteorologist Mark Kriski interrupted: \u201cI think there\u2019s a lot of 58-year-old comedians working out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cName five women<\/a>,\u201d replied Griffin.<\/p>\n

As Kriski stammered, \u201cI\u201dm, uh, not into the comedy thing,\u201d Griffin clapped back, \u201cWhat is this guy<\/a>? What\u2019s up with the new guy<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new guy<\/a>,\u201d repeated a taken-aback Kriski, who has been at KTLA for more than 20 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe point is, it\u2019s a male<\/a> dominated field. I don\u2019t really want to hear your take on that,\u201d snapped Griffin.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got guests here ever day,\u201d replied Kriski.<\/p>\n

Replied Griffin: \u201cYeah, alright. You should really know your stats though. Anyway, working in a male<\/a>-dominated field is something where I deal with that sort of thing every day, so I spend most of my day trying to talk to older white guys<\/a> and explain I just want to do what I do.\u201d<\/p>\n
