Billy Porter, Lin Manuel-Miranda, and Woody Harrelson Slay SNL\u2019s LGBTQ Equality Town Hall: WATCH<\/b><\/p>\n

Saturday Night Live<\/em> tackled this week\u2019s Equality Town Hall in its cold open. At its opening, Alex Moffatt\u2019s Anderson Cooper informed the audience that the Democratic town hall would cover issues important to \u201cLGBTQ people and straight girls<\/a> that make Pride about them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sketch included special guest Billy Porter (Pose<\/em>) introducing the candidates.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe category is Vanderbilt dynasty news realness henny,\u201d said Porter, looking at Moffatt\u2019s Anderson.<\/p>\n

Porter then introduced the candidates, starting with Cory Booker (Chris Redd): \u201cHe may live<\/a> in the projects, but ladies<\/a>, he ain\u2019t no project.\u201d<\/p>\n

Redd\u2019s Booker was asked whether he has always supported the gay<\/a> community and after replying \u201cyes\u201d was reminded of 1992 writings that said some derogatory things.<\/p>\n

Said Redd\u2019s Booker: \u201cI don\u2019t want you to think I\u2019m dodging the question, so I\u2019m going to go now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Porter then moved on: \u201cRepresenting House of Booty Gig, it\u2019s Mayor Pete.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colin Jost\u2019s Pete Buttigieg appeared on stage in the mayor\u2019s stiff-armed posture: \u201cThanks, I went to Harvard but they don\u2019t teach you where to put your arms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jost\u2019s Buttigieg was asked about how he\u2019d respond to those who say he\u2019s not gay<\/a> in the right way: \u201cThere\u2019s no wrong way to be gay<\/a>, unless you\u2019re Ellen this week<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Added Jost\u2019s Buttigieg: \u201cWhy am I not winning this? I\u2019m a veteran, I\u2019m under the legal retirement age, and when I talk, it makes sense. Is something wrong with me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Replied Anderson: \u201cYou\u2019re a great guy<\/a>, just, as a friend. Not for president.\u201d<\/p>\n

Porter then was on to the next: \u201cWarning. Warning. The sentencer is here. She\u2019s got a plan for the future. It\u2019s Elizabeth Warren.\u201d<\/p>\n

Said McKinnon\u2019s Warren: \u201cI am so excited to be here. I had some apple slices backstage and they are hitting me like cocaine. You all know I\u2019m not a lesbian<\/a> but all the ingredients are there.\u201d<\/p>\n

McKinnon\u2019s Warren was then hit with the question that led to her viral moment this week<\/a>: \u201cHow would you respond if someone said to you, \u2018I\u2019m old fashioned and my faith teaches me that marriage is between one man<\/a> and one woman<\/a>.’\u201d<\/p>\n

McKinnon\u2019s Warren then went into a drop-the-mic series of one-liners before ripping off her wig in a Drag Race<\/em>-style runway performance: \u201cI would say, \u2018sir, tell me your bus stop, because I want to know where you get off.\u2019 What else? If someone doesn\u2019t want to serve gay<\/a> people at their small business, I bet that\u2019s not the only thing that\u2019s small. And when people say gay<\/a> and trans<\/a> shouldn\u2019t be included in civil rights protections, well I wish their parents had used protection.\u201d<\/p>\n

Next up was Lin Manuel-Miranda as Julian Castro.<\/p>\n

Said Manuel-Miranda\u2019s Castro: \u201cAs a Democrat. I want to apologize for not being gay<\/a>. But I promise to do better in the future. \u2026 I\u2019m young, I\u2019m diverse, I\u2019m latinobama. So let\u2019s get that hashtag going.\u201d<\/p>\n

And of course, a Hamilton<\/em> joke from the Broadway hit\u2019s creator: \u201cYou know there was once another man<\/a> who left his mark on this country\u2019s history but he never became president.\u201d<\/p>\n

Porter then introduced \u201cthe Delaware daddy, whose only vice is the choo choo train,\u201d Vice President Biden, played again by Woody Harrelson.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe vast majority of people in America are not homophobic,\u201d said Harrelson\u2019s Biden, \u201cthey\u2019re just scared of gay<\/a> people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden, fumbling his dentures, was then asked a question by audience member played by Bowen Yang.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at you. If I told you you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me?\u201d asked Harrelson\u2019s Biden.<\/p>\n

Harrelson\u2019s Biden was then asked how he can defend his past support of Don\u2019t Ask, Don\u2019t Tell.<\/p>\n

Replied Harrelson\u2019s Biden: \u201cI\u2019m glad you asked that question. Let me answer by telling you a false memory.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrelson\u2019s Biden then told a story the VP has often repeated, about what his father told him after they saw two men<\/a> kiss for the first time, before planting his lips on Moffatt\u2019s Anderson Cooper: \u201cSo, in closing, ever been kissed by a VP before?\u201d<\/p>\n
