The NBA finals kick off in Oakland tonight. (Who knew?!) The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, it seems, will face off for the second year in a row to determine what team will be awarded the coveted Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy for the 2015-16 season.

New Bud Light Ad Celebrates Gay Weddings with Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen: WATCH

A new ad from Bud Light as part of its brand campaign ‘The Bud Light Party’ features Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen at a gay wedding.

AdAge reports:

“The Bud Light Party champions inclusivity among modern beer drinkers and bringing people together—for fun—over a beer,” said Alex Lambrecht, vp of Bud Light at Anheuser-Busch, in a statement.

He added: “By featuring Seth and Amy at a same-sex wedding, we’re showing how all weddings—regardless of who is getting married—share many similarities and moments to celebrate. We created this spot because equality for all Americans is a concept that unites many Bud Light drinkers.”

The ad premiered on Wednesday on Ellen DeGeneres’ social media channels. The ad also appeared during primetime programming in New York and L.A. starting last night.

PM Justin Trudeau Raises Parliament Pride Flag for First Time in Canadian History: WATCH

Yesterday, for the first time in history, a Canadian Prime Minister raised the LGBT Pride flag on Parliament Hill. Justin Trudeau raised the flag to mark the beginning of LGBT Pride month.

CTV News reports:

“This is a great day for Canada and it is part of a long series of milestones this country has hit over the years,” Trudeau said.

“It hasn’t been easy, it hasn’t been automatic. A lot of people fought for a long time for this day and for the many days that led up to this day to happen.”

The fact that MPs from across the political spectrum attended sends a significant message, he added.

“Canada is united in its defence of rights and in standing up for LGBTQ rights; this is what we are truly celebrating today,” he said to cheers and applause under a hot late-spring sun. Trudeau said there is still more work to do, pointing to a bill introduced by his government last month to strengthen transgender rights following several attempts by private members to do so under past governments.

Trudeau will make more history this month when he becomes the first sitting prime minister to attend Pride parades.
