Chloe Moretz To Star In New Gay Conversion Therapy Drama “The Miseducation”

While the Republican party continues to torture themselves and their children with “ex-gay” abuse, a new movie is in the works that exposes the harm that the discredited “treatment” causes.

It’s called The Miseducation of Cameron Post, and it sounds kind of like a serious version of But I’m a Cheerleader. Starring are Chloe Moretz and Sasha Lane, who are probably young starlets that we should have heard of by now but who can keep track of them all? Anyway, one of them is caught making out the the prom queen, and gets thrown into one of those deadly pray-away-the-gay centers.

It’s based on a novel by Desiree Akhavan, who also wrote Appropriate Behavior, a movie about a bisexual Persian woman.

We don’t know much more about the movie, other than that it’s got John Gallagher Jr, who you didn’t see in Short Term 12, and Jennifer Ehle, who you missed in A Quiet Passion. It’s being shot by Ashley Connor, who worked on Tramps. Frankly, these all sound like made-up titles in a parody world of indi-Sundance, so we’re only like 95% sure it’s a real thing.

Social Media Post Alleging Mike Pence’s Gay Past Goes Viral

Social Media Post Alleging Mike Pence’s Gay Past Goes Viral

A photo alleging to show Mike Pence’s hidden and shocking gay past has gone viral online.

The only problem is, it’s a hoax. But, a fun hoax that’s not too out of the realm of believability given the secrets anti-gay Republican politicians usually keep hidden in their closets.

On Sunday, a Facebook user named Luis Macias shared a photo of Mike Pence’s official portrait–red tie, American flag and all–juxtaposed with a photo of a semi-topless, tanned and jacked young man who looks an awfully lot like…a younger Mike Pence.

Macias captioned the photo: Mike Pence – “blast from the gay past.”

As of this publication, the post has been shared over 8,000 times and received 1,300 reactions on Facebook.

It’s also been retweeted and liked thousands of times on Twitter.

However, many were quick to point out that the person on the right is not Pence but rather gay adult film star Brad Patton who starred in many Chi Chi La Rue films for Falcon Studios in the early aughts.

Still, it wouldn’t have been the strangest thing to happen in 2016 if that photo was an actual after and before of Pence. It really wouldn’t have.

Leading Pick For Secretary Of Health & Human Services Thinks Gay Rights Harm Health

Leading Pick For Secretary Of Health & Human Services Thinks Gay Rights Harm Health

“Give Donald Trump a chance before you criticize him” is another way of saying “let him get in a few really solid punches before you even try defending yourself.”

While you’re busy “giving him a chance,” he’s thinking about appointing awful Tom Price to be the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Price is a doctor — a real medical doctor, God help us — who spreads ignorance and fear like some kind of medieval skull-driller.

According to Price, laws that “promote some homosexual-agenda item… should take into account the tremendous medical health impact and economic impact that promoting such a lifestyle will result in.”

So, this could be the guy in charge of the nation’s medical and social services. A man who believes that treating you with equality is a bad idea because you are sick and diseased and a burden on everyone around you.

He also says: “The consequences of activity that has been seen as outside the norm are real and must be explored completely… [before] moving forward with any social legislation that would alter things.”

Just to be clear — he’s wrong about virtually everything. But being wrong is what Republicans do best. And once he’s in power, you can bet that he’ll gut services and protections for LGBT people — that could mean anything from access to homeless shelters to assistance with adoption, HIV counseling, the ability to see your partner in a hospital, gay couples being kept together when they go into elder housing, and who even knows what.

Now as we’ve learned, it’s the most sanctimonious Republicans who are hiding the most depraved secrets, so do you want to take any guesses as to what terrible shameful brokenness Tom Price is hiding? Whatever it is, a person doesn’t turn into a twisted liar unless they’ve got something real devious in their closet.

Donald Trump Accepted $1.3 Million in Donations that Violated Campaign Finance Laws, FEC Says

Donald Trump Accepted $1.3 Million in Donations that Violated Campaign Finance Laws, FEC Says

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) says Donald Trump accepted 1,100 donations totaling $1.3 million that violated various campaign finance laws.

The Hill reports:

The commission sent Timothy Jost, the Trump campaign’s treasurer, a letter Sunday seeking clarification of its financial filings last month.

The FEC’s message notes two main concerns, the first being whether Trump’s campaign accepted contributions from organizations not properly registered with the commission. Another worry, the letter adds, is whether donors giving to the Republican’s campaign exceeded legal donation limits.

“If any apparently prohibited contribution in question was incompletely or incorrectly disclosed, you should amend your original report with clarifying information,” it states. “In addition, please clarify whether the contribution(s) received from the referenced organization(s) is permissible.

“If any apparently excessive contribution in question was incompletely or incorrectly disclosed, you must amend your original report with the clarifying information.”

More from CNN:

The errors came after Trump made an aggressive shift to digital fundraising in July, based in large part on the stunning success Bernie Sanders had outraising Hillary Clinton at various months in the primaries.
The FEC dinged the Sanders campaign in May for the same problem — alerting them that thousands of donors had exceeded federal campaign finance limit. President Barack Obama has received several such letters as well.
