I know I’m not easy. Thank you for being my much needed peace – even when I’m railing against it and I can’t explain or understand why I do. I /am/ healing, thanks to you. Some wounds run deep… I know you intimately know this to be true. And I can’t promise I’ll ever be perfect. But I can keep healing.
I look forward to the day when your hands find only faint silvered scars when they pass over me, instead of the still-mending mess of me now. I pray that your patience with me holds strong until then. And on that day, whenever it comes, healing done, I hope you’ll realize that those scattering remaining marks were softened and tended by you.
