Tyrese Gibson Is Not Amused By Rumors Of Gay Sexual Favors Sparked By Comedian Spanky Hayes: VIDEO

Gibson2

Comedian Spanky Hayes (below right) appeared on TMZ recently spouting some rumors about Tyrese Gibson (above) and how he beat Spanky out for a role in 2001’s Baby Boy. Suffice to say that male-on-male sexual contact was involved. Though it is Hayes’ profession to make people laugh, probably utilizing outlandish claims to achieve those ends, Gibson was highly unamused and fired back in a big way.

HayesMirror reports:

Spanky, known for his appearance on the Nick Cannon show Wild ‘N Out, claims he was beaten out of the role by Tyrese after auditioning for John [Singleton], who allegedly told them: “I f***ing love both of you guys, but which one of you guys are gonna suck my c***?'”

It is not yet known if he said it in jest, but he added: “I bust out laughing because nobody has talked to me like that. But the other dude, who I won’t say his name, wasn’t laughing. To keep it real, he got the lead role in Baby Boy.”

Gibson recorded his own video, saying that Hayes’ statement is akin to committing “a career suicide.” Then he does some truth telling about the role:

“Let me tell you something you don’t know. First of all, the role for Baby Boy was written, directed and produced by John Singleton. It was written for Tupac. That’s a factual fact.

“When Tupac was killed, he only had one person in mind to play Baby Boy, it wasn’t them, it wasn’t you … f**k, it was me.”

He goes on to claim he’s “never had those sorts of rumors” launched at him, all the while smoking a cigar, wearing a fur coat, and laughing at Spanky’s relative lack of success. Seems like an overreaction, no? If nothing else it indicates that Gibson may lack any sense of humor.

Arin Andrews And Katie Rain Hill, Transgender Teens, Discuss New Memoirs

Arin Andrews And Katie Rain Hill, Transgender Teens, Discuss New Memoirs
Katie Rain Hill and Arin Andrews received international attention last year because of the unique nature of their relationship at the time: They are both transgender and dated while supporting each other through their transitions.

Now, Andrews and Hill have each published a memoir, Some Assembly Required and Rethinking Normal, respectively, about their experiences. The books are beautifully written and incredibly personal, with neither of them shying away from sexual content, which may be seen as somewhat controversial due to our society’s fascination with transitioning, trans bodies and the way trans people have sex.

Andrews and Hill spoke with HuffPost Live’s Alex Berg about writing about their bodies and sex and why they included those topics and events in their memoirs.

“I wanted to be the most authentic way I could explain it without getting too sexual because my grandma is going to read it, my aunt is going to read it, my little cousins are,” Andrews told The Huffington Post. “So I wanted to find a way to explain it that was still able to share my story without sexualizing it a lot and I think I found that way. It was just really important to share that because there’s issues that go into that with the trans community… it’s a very complex thing.”

Hill noted, “I thought, No one else is talking about it, so why not me? … Someone has to step up to the plate and address these things because these are questions everyone has… We might as well be straight up and honest with these people.” She added, “I know it’s going to help people because I have so many people who say to me, “Oh wow! That’s what it’s like.”

What’s The Best Way To Bring Up Safe Sex? Davey Wavey Has Suggestions.

What’s The Best Way To Bring Up Safe Sex? Davey Wavey Has Suggestions.

o-GAY-SEX-CONDOM-facebookThey certainly aren’t the sexiest things to discuss as you’re about to get up close and personal with someone new, but condoms should find a way into your precoital banter somehow or another.

For many guys, simply asking, “Hey do you have a condom?” does the trick — it’s direct, lets him know you’re on board to get down, and sends the message that safe sex is a priority for you. If he responds, “Uhh…no, but it’s cool,” then you know you have a problem.

Or, of course, you could try out one of these colorful tactics from Davey Wavey. Our personal favorite is, “You know what my grandmother always told me? If you cap your schlong, you’ll never go wrong.”

Gay Men's Chorus Poster Vandalized In Capitol Hill Office Building

Gay Men's Chorus Poster Vandalized In Capitol Hill Office Building

Poster

A Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington poster was vandalized this week in the Longworth House Office Building Cafeteria on Capitol Hill – the first incident of its kind in recent memory according to Executive Director Chase Maggiano.

The poster, which advertises the group’s upcoming Holiday Concert, was vandalized with the word “Fag’s” in marker. Someone attempted to cross it out, but the slur is still visible.

In an email to Towleroad, GMCW Director of Marketing Craig Cipollini wrote:

“We’re not sure, but it looks like it happened Tuesday evening or late Tuesday afternoon. A friend of a chorus member saw it Wednesday morning when he got to work and notified us then. The poster is still up, and we will be getting a replacement poster over there later this week. Police were not contacted, but a Chorus member who works on the Hill notified the CAO [Chief Administrative Office]”

Said Maggiano:

“Sometimes we hear stories of bullying and vandalism at the area high schools we visit, but it’s pretty surprising to see this happen on Capitol Hill. This tells us that we still have equality work to do right in our own backyard.”
