Pursing a pair of pouty red lips, Troye Sivan slips right in to a parade of androgynous art/fashion tableaus including a blue feather wig and white boots and a leather coat and beret in the new video for “Bloom”, revealed by the singer himself in a since-deleted tweet to be about bottoming.

The looks are intermingled with shots of a shirtless man flexing from behind and segue into Sivan standing in a stylized Pierre et Gilles-esque floral diorama.

Join the Human Rights Campaign and the Nordic ambassadors to the U.S. from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden on Twitter on Friday, June 8, from 10 – 11 a.m. EST to discuss equality and LGBTQI rights. Equality is a fundamental value in the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Marriage equality is the law and same-sex couples are able to adopt children in all five countries. Promoting equal rights abroad is also a central priority for the Nordic countries. The Nordics believe that supporting human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex persons is the responsibility of all governments and people.
The Nordics work for LGBTQI rights individually and jointly through the United Nations as well as through various funds and initiatives such as the U.S.-led Global Equality Fund. Working together increases effectiveness and shows that ensuring the ability of LGBTQI persons to live safely, freely and without discrimination is a growing priority among many governments.

BREAKING: Bermuda Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Marriage Equality
Today, HRC celebrated a historic decision by the Bermuda Supreme Court overturning the nation’s ban on same-sex marriage. The court’s decision comes in response to legal challenges to newly enacted domestic partnership legislation that repealed marriage equality in Bermuda.
“The Bermuda Supreme Court has righted the injustice that occurred when Bermudian lawmakers made the islands the first national territory in the world to repeal marriage equality,” said Ty Cobb, director of HRC’s global department. “We congratulate the plaintiffs in this case on their historic victory ensuring that once again, Love Wins!”
The Supreme Court’s decision today invalidates sections of the recently enacted Domestic Partnership Act that removed full marriage rights for same-sex couples. Bermuda first achieved marriage equality through a Supreme Court ruling in May 2017 in a case brought by a couple who challenged the Registrar-General’s rejection of their application to marry. However, in response to the court’s decision, the Parliament of Bermuda enacted legislation repealing marriage equality and replacing it with domestic partnership benefits.
In a letter to lawmakers, the CEO of the Bermuda Tourism Authority warned of consequences for the tourism industry, citing economic fallout over anti-LGBTQ measures in the U.S. states of North Carolina and Indiana in 2016 and 2015. The letter stated, “Significantly, it’s not only LGBT travelers that care about equal rights based on sexual orientation. Our research indicates many companies, consumers and travelers, including the overwhelming majority of the younger visitors powering Bermuda’s growth, care about this issue. It’s why the fallout in North Carolina and Indiana has proven so detrimental.”

At OkCupid, we match people over what they care about. As it turns out, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is one of those things that really matters to them. Ninety percent of the OkCupid users who responded to the question “Do you support the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)?” said “yes.” That’s one of the highest agreement percentages of all of our thousands of questions.
It’s not surprising that so many of our users support the ACLU. First, the non-profit does amazing work to protect all individuals’ civil rights — fighting for LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, and the rights of those who are incarcerated, to just name a few. In fact, the ACLU is currently tirelessly working on the Masterpiece case after the Supreme Court’s ruling on the LGBTQ rights case earlier this week. At OkCupid, we also have a long history of inclusion, being the first dating app to offer 22 gender and 12 orientation options.
Secondly, in today’s political climate, people care more about their dates sharing their political and social beliefs than ever before; our data shows that differing beliefs on both are the biggest dating deal breakers today. It’s not just support for the ACLU that these badge holders will likely share. Daters who support the ACLU are four times more likely to consider themselves feminist (and are looking to date a feminist, too). They’re also twice as likely to have responded “Hell no” to our question “Trump?” and 30% more likely to believe in climate change. So filtering for one deal breaker can end up saving you some time on filtering for other deal breakers (and makers) as well.
