The Elin are a hauntingly beautiful race of forest-dwelling humanoids defined by a striking contrast between their youthful, “doll-like” features and a profound, ancient melancholy. Standing at human height, they possess porcelain-pale skin, shock-white hair, and small, delicate pointed ears that hint at their fey lineage. Their most captivating traits are their perpetually heavy, droopy eyes—which give them a look of sleepy wisdom—and their naturally dark, ink-stained lips, a byproduct of their diet of twilight berries. Though they never physically age past their early twenties, the Elin carry themselves with a slow, deliberate grace, moving through the world with the quiet stillness of the first winter frost.
