In my photo, the mile-long rainbow flag — a celebration of LGBT+ pride, identity, community and a tribute to efforts dedicated to the fight against AIDS — is passing in front of the United Nations (the building is not visible here). Taken at the corner of 1st Avenue and East 41st Street (735 First Avenue) in New York.

Designers and creators of the flag: Cleve Jones and Gilbert Baker.
1 mile long. 30 feet wide.
Estimated: 1 million people from 72 countries.

Sur ma photo, le drapeau arc-en-ciel long d’environ 1,6 kilomètre, célébration de la fierté LGBT+, identité, communauté et hommage aux efforts consacrés à la lutte contre le sida, est en train de passer devant les Nations Unies (le bâtiment est non visible ici). Prise à l’angle de la 1ère Avenue et de la 41e Rue Est (735 First Avenue) à New York.
