Downtown Seattle (April, 2019)

This photo i shot last year here in Downtown at Pike Place Market. A heart shaped balloon had been let go and was stuck to the ceiling above where i was standing for a moment. I was in a great mood, excited about seeing a guy i was spending time with a lot last spring and it just felt magical seeing this heart balloon appear hours before i was to see him again that evening.

This year has been horrible for everyone in so many ways and i know i can’t be alone as a single person feeling as if it’s made life tough to be social or close to others. It’s still far from over and i’ve not found Mr. Right yet, the one i hope to spend the rest of my life with. I feel like it’s going to be awhile until i’m able to feel comfortable meeting new people in this way, i have some medical issues with my lungs that make Covid-19 very scary to me.

Tonight though my spirits have been lifted and for the first time this year i’m smiling from ear to ear because i was able to hear his voice again and that means a lot to me. I miss him so much and it will be good to see him again someday even if we aren’t meant to be each other’s one and only. I’m thankful i’ve been reminded of the joy of Date Night and have something to look forward to again. It helps, a lot… in a world where i spend most of my time alone aside from communicating with you all here online.

Tonight i am posting this here as a reminder to myself that no matter how difficult 2020 is for me, i’ll see him again. This image still means a lot to me, just like he does. 💘
