Daniel Newman shares his personal cellphone number, promises he’ll respond to all of your sexts

Our friend Daniel Newman is looking for creative ways to pass the time in quarantine, so he’s inviting his million+ social media followers to send him thirsty texts, which he promises to respond to.

Yesterday, Newman posted a video of himself in grey sweatpants and showing off his, um, six pack along with the caption: “Everyone text me 1-404-737-1636 . or click link in my Bio to auto save my number in your phone 🤤 tell kyle to also!”

Newman, who came out last month as a top who’s “too lazy to bottom”, also shared some of the messages he’s been receiving.

“You guys are the sweetest,” he said. “I’m answering all of your messages right now. I’m so honored. I love you.”

The 38-year-old Walking Dead star also changed his Twitter page to include his number and encouraged his 930,000 followers there to send him messages as well.

But this isn’t the first time Newman has invited followers to reach out to him personally.

In March, he enticed people to slide into his DMs with a headless torso pic along with the caption: “Lol you guys can message me on Instagram.com/danielnewman.”

We can only imagine the extensive library of photos this guy now has on his phone.

Just remember, folks, standard text messaging rates apply.

John Oliver Probes the Gaping Hole the Pandemic Has Created in the World of Pro Sports: WATCH

john oliver coronavirus sports

John Oliver took a deep dive into the coronavirus pandemic’s effect on the world of sports last night, and the frustration it has caused for many fans. More specifically, Oliver noted the complaints coming from Donald Trump, who is tired of watching baseball games that are 15 years old.

“Okay, but here’s the thing,” said Oliver. “We actually asked some experts about that, and it turns out that when the country is in the middle of a pandemic that’s killing many thousands of Americans every single week, the correct number of batters from 2006 for the president to be watching is actually f**king zero.”

Oliver then went on to note how the disappearance of sports is hurting people financially, what a path back for sports might look like, and what sports have become in the age of coronavirus, which included a Russian slapping competition that has gone viral on social media.

Said Oliver: “If we are all reaching the point of desperation, where we’re honestly willing to watch large men slap each other in a windowless room, there is clearly a desire to restart sporting events. The question, though, isn’t why sports should come back but how that can safely happen. Because to do it responsibly would be a mammoth undertaking. To do it irresponsibly, however, turns out to be pretty easy.”

Oliver denounced WWE, AEW and UFC for deciding, irresponsibly, to operate during the pandemic.

Admitted Oliver: “Look, I will own the fact that I really want sports to come back. There is no doubt that they have the ability to inspire. One of the things sport does best brings people together in times of crisis like when the Yankees resumed playing after 9/11. Unfortunately, though, bringing people together is the exact thing we should not be doing right now. If it comes back too soon and irresponsibly, it won’t be an inspiration, it’ll be a cautionary tale.”

Oliver also announced a solution in the meantime: marble racing.

HRC ENDORSES 40 HOUSE, 5 SENATE PRO-EQUALITY LEADERS ON ANNIVERSARY OF HOUSE PASSAGE OF THE EQUALITY ACT: “In 2018, HRC stood with many of these pro-equality leaders to build a pro-equality majority in the U.S. House and pass the Equality Act. Within months of taking office, they did just that,” said HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid). “Now HRC and these champions for equality must work together to ensure we maintain a pro-equality majority in the U.S. House and establish one in the U.S. Senate. Mitch McConnell’s refusal to allow consideration of the Equality Act leaves LGBTQ people across America at risk of being fired from jobs, refused essential services like health care, and more vulnerable to violence. HRC will work to mobilize 57 million Equality Voters nationwide to turn out this November and ensure these endorsed candidates win because lives are on the line.” Read more from HRC and The Hill.

Human rights abuses against LGBTQ people anywhere are human rights abuses against LGBTQ people everywhere. The global leaders who are leading the charge to end human rights abuses against our community and all communities give us the hope that we all need to continue the fight at home and abroad.” Read more from HRC

HRC PRESIDENT ON NEWS THAT JENNA ELLIS WILL SERVE AS A TOP ADVISER AND LAWYER FOR TRUMP’S RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN: “It is no surprise that Trump is filling out his re-election campaign with anti-LGBTQ extremists such as Jenna Ellis,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “Time after time, the Trump-Pence administration has worked to undermine the rights and welfare of LGBTQ people. This election is the most important one of our lifetimes and we cannot continue to live under an administration that has worked to erase LGBTQ people and treat us like second-class citizens. We must elect Joe Biden and pro-equality leaders across the country, reject the politics of division and build a country that works for all of us.” Read more from CNN

HRC ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR THE HEROES ACT: The Heroes Act is legislation in the U.S. Congress investing $3 trillion towards essential needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, including $3.6 billion for voting assistance and a sexual orientation and gender identity inclusive non-discrimination provision. “Our nation is in crisis, and Speaker Pelosi has stepped up to lead,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “This package ensures that our nation has the tools and resources it needs to respond to the epidemic, boost the economy, protect LGBTQ people from discrimination and ensure everyone has the opportunity to safely exercise their constitutional right to vote. Provisions in the Heroes Act not only expand safe voting options but also aim to reduce voter suppression, which disproportionately impacts voters of color and transgender voters.” Read more from HRC

Yesterday (May 17th) was International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT): an annual event to highlight anti-LGBTQ discrimination around the world.

One country which has some way to go in regards to LGBTQ equality is Poland. Although same-sex sexual activity is legal, and there’s an equal age of consent, same-sex marriage is not allowed and there is a lack of anti-discrimination laws.

Local lawmakers recently also allowed regions to declare themselves as “LGBTI-free zones”: a move widely condemned by other European countries. Despite the condemnation, around a third of municipalities in the country have adopted the LGBTI-free zone status.

In the wake of this, the team at the British Embassy in Poland decided to visibly mark this year’s IDAHOBIT. Staff, including Ambassador Jonathan Knott, wore rainbow face masks.

In a statement, Knott said, “While right now we all need to focus on fighting COVID-19, we must not forget to continue protecting the values in which we believe.

“On International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, we reaffirm our support for efforts to raise public awareness of issues affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community, and pay tribute to the hard work of LGBTI people in Poland, the UK and around the world to ensure human rights and dignity for all.

“We continue to be committed to protecting all people from violence and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, and ensuring that every individual enjoys equal opportunities.”

Knott also tweeted a short video of other ambassadors to Poland marking IDAHOBIT. It included photos of Ambassadors from Canada, New Zealand, Austria, Denmark, Iceland, as well as Georgette Mosbacher, the US Ambassador to Poland.

In the clip, Mosbacher holds a rainbow flag with the words: ‘We support equality for all’. The US Embassy in Warsaw shared the same video on its Twitter feed, and Mosbacher re-tweeted it.
