HRC PRESIDENT ALPHONSO DAVID RELEASES  RECORD-BREAKING CORPORATE EQUALITY INDEX AT WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM IN DAVOS: At an event hosted by the Partnership for Global LGBTI Equality, David (@AlphonsoDavid) announced that a record 686 of America’s leading companies and law firms are continuing to advance vital and rigorous policies and practices to protect their lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workers — both at home and abroad, according to the HRC Foundation’s newly-released 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). “From supporting LGBTQ civil rights protections in the U.S. through HRC’s Business Coalition for the Equality Act, to featuring transgender and non-binary people in an ad in Argentina, to advocating for marriage equality in Taiwan — businesses understand their LGBTQ employees and customers deserve to be seen, valued and respected not only at work, but in every aspect of daily life,” said David. TUESDAY TWEET — HRC HONORED LIFE AND LEGACY OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. WITH DAY OF SERVICE: “More than half a century ago, our nation was moved by a preacher who stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and shared his dream of a day when his children would be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “Since the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke those words in 1963, we as a nation have made great progress in our journey toward full equality, but we know that we have much further to go.” More from KUSI and HRC.

As Americans across the country come together for a day of service to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we must recommit ourselves to making his dream of justice and equality a reality for all. #MLKDay pic.twitter.com/jMjvTfTexY

Michael Moore on the 2020 Democratic Ticket: ‘We Shouldn’t Run One Woman, We Should Run Two Women’ — WATCH

Michael Moore on the 2020 Democratic Ticket: ‘We Shouldn’t Run One Woman, We Should Run Two Women’ — WATCH

Filmmaker and activist Michael Moore appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night and Meyers asked him about the New York Times endorsement of Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar. Despite being a fervent Bernie supporter, Moore likes the idea of a two woman ticket.

Said Moore: “We shouldn’t run one woman. We should run two women. The president and the vice president on the ticket will be two women. Let’s just double down on this. Let’s just double down. All the pundits will go, ‘oh no, you can’t do that. They’ll never get elected now.’ Oh yeah? I’ll tell you right now, every woman’s gonna vote. And every young person’s gonna vote. And anybody, anybody who’s part of any group that has had the boot on their neck for most of their lives because they belong to a particular ethnic group, a particular gender, a particular age group, everybody who knows that feeling will come out and be for that.”
