Celebs Reach Out to Bullied Tennessee Teen as Viral Video Hits More Than 18 Million Views: WATCH
Keaton Jones

Celebs are reaching out to Keaton Jones, a bullied Tennessee teen who appeared in a video posted to Facebook by his mom which went viral over the weekend, reaching more than 18 million views on Facebook.

In the video, Jones describes having milk poured on him and ham shoved down his clothing by bullies that mocked him for his looks and for scars he received in a head operation.

Asked Keaton in the video: “Just out of curiosity, why do they bully? What’s the point of it? Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to ’em? It’s not okay. It’s not okay! People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it. It’s not their fault.”

Wrote his mother, Kimberly: “For the record, Keaton asked to do this AFTER he had he me pick him up AGAIN because he was afraid to go to lunch. My kids are by no stretch perfect, & at home, he’s as all boy as they come, but by all accounts he’s good at school. Talk to your kids. I’ve even had friends of mine tell me they’re kids were only nice to him to get him to mess with people. We all know how it feels to want to belong, but only a select few know how it really feels not to belong anywhere.”

As Deadline reports, Keaton’s plight and message have caught the attention of high-profile celebs who are expressing their solidarity:

“Stay strong, Keaton,” tweeted Chris Evans. “Don’t let them make you turn cold. I promise it gets better. While those punks at your school are deciding what kind of people they want to be in this world, how would you and your mom like to come to the Avengers premiere in LA next year?

“Little buddy,” wrote Ruffalo, “I was bullied when I was a kid. You are right #ItGetsBetter! You are my own personal super hero. Protect Yo Heart. You got a pal in the Hulk.”

Tweeted Mark Hamill, “They’re just jealous because you’re so smart & handsome.”

“Add me to your long list of friends Keaton,” tweeted Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Others reaching out include Patrick Adams (Suits), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Kevin Jonas, Cardi B and, well, take a look for a sample of a roster that’s growing by the minute:

Temperatures To Plummet To -15C As UK To Wake Up To ‘Black Ice Monday’

Temperatures To Plummet To -15C As UK To Wake Up To ‘Black Ice Monday’
Treacherous driving conditions are expected to cause chaos for motorists as the country returns to work, after more than 12 inches of snow blanketed parts of the UK on Sunday.

A yellow warning for ice is in place for most of Wales and central parts of England between 4am and 11am on Monday, the Met Office said.

The weather bureau said temperatures could drop to as low as -15C overnight in rural parts of Wales.

With ice expected “quite widely” for many beginning another working week, the Met Office said there will be “widespread slippery, icy conditions” with some “tricky conditions” on the roads and pavements.

The RAC said it expects to attend 11,000 breakdowns on ‘Black Ice Monday’ after being called to 8,000 incidents on Sunday.

Pete Williams, the RAC’s road safety spokesman, said the forecast figure is 20% above the seasonal norm.

“I think the big thing is people are not going to leave enough time,” he said.

“Journeys will take two to three times longer. It’s going to be treacherous driving conditions.”

He said low overnight temperatures could cause black ice and urged people to drive slowly, leaving plenty of space between them and the car in front.

Highways England said ahead of the heavy snowfall and in preparation for the overnight freeze, they have been working to keep motorways and major A-roads clear of snow and ice.

The Government-owned company said thousands of tonnes of salt has been spread on the M5, M6, M40, M42, M69, and the A5 and A49, with gritting crews also targeting the M1.

The Met Office said the biggest accumulation of snow was seen in Sennybridge in Wales where 32cm (12.5 inches) fell on Sunday.

This was followed by Hereford with 18cm (seven inches) and High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire saw 17cm (6.6 inches).

As a result of the severe weather, flights were temporarily suspended at two UK airports, Birmingham and Luton, causing widespread delays for passengers, and ‘carnage’ was reported at Heathrow.

Major roads were also crippled, with the M1 briefly closed near Leicestershire and the A5 in Shropshire also forced to shut down.

In the West Midlands, an NHS trust was forced to put an appeal out for 4×4 drivers to help stranded nurses get to hospitals.

‘Carnage’ At Heathrow Airport As Snow Causes Cancellations And Long Delays

‘Carnage’ At Heathrow Airport As Snow Causes Cancellations And Long Delays

Passengers described scenes of “carnage” at Heathrow Airport as heavy snow that blanketed much of the UK in white caused flight cancellations and long delays.

The disruption at the UK’s busiest airport was blamed on planes having to be de-iced before take-off and after they land, with a backlog caused by aircraft stands being full.

It meant flights being diverted as far away as Newcastle – around 300 miles away – and aircraft held on the airport’s apron for hours before taking off.

Heathrow not accepting any more flights! So I’m about to see #Newcastle for the first time! #uksnow

Delay at GOT airport – 3hrs
Flight time – 2hrs
Stuck at tarmac – 4hrs
Passport queue – 35min
Without food – so far 8hrs
Expected to be home – hopefully within the hour
I’m a frequent flyer but today SUCKED!!! Shame on you #Heathrow#WhatSnow

The Twitter account of British Airways, believed to be the worst affected airline, received a deluge of messages from customers unhappy about long waits but also no response on their customer service phone line.

It has reportedly cancelled 24 long-haul flights as well as dozens of shorter flights.

@British_Airways flight from Belfast City to Heathrow cancelled with no help or options to rebook at airport. Refund option not working on site or app. Calls going unanswered. Told I can’t get a refund because I checked in online. Please help. pic.twitter.com/RBeRSWCwjE

@British_Airways reply awaited please. I merely wish to have my cancelled flight rearranged. Not presented as an option within your app. Thank you pic.twitter.com/LNnIq4dMo2

Others posted pictures of huge queues waiting for flights.

Absolute chaos at Heathrow. Cabin crew crying and consoling each other. Babies screaming. Saw a disabled person nearly get knocked out of his wheelchair in the crush. BA staff were incredible though. Luton and Birmingham airports were also warnings of flight delays and cancellations but Heathrow appeared to suffering from the worst of it.

But as a hub airport, delays have a knock-on effect across Europe, with reports of one flight from Berlin to Heathrow being forced to turn back after an hour.

A lot of passengers are affected by delays and cancellations across Europe today.

For example the ~180 passengers on flight #BA983 Berlin -> London. Scheduled time of departure 13:50. Actual time of departure 18:57. Made a U-turn after 1h & landed back in Berlin 21:04. pic.twitter.com/xA8VQ2LiYk

@British_Airways you don’t even deign to respond to communications. My husband has been at Heathrow since 11am. He is now unable to come home because you won’t let him off a cancelled flight. This is actually sick.

— Camerateur (@Camerateur) December 10, 2017

Ridiculous #BritishAirways – flight 993 has been redirected to Bournemouth from Heathrow, sat on tarmac for 4 hours, poor captain trying to sort it all by himself!!! SORT IT OUT AND HELP BA!! 100’s of people need to get home

— loulou (@louiseboraman1) December 10, 2017

We’ve been here since 10am and we’ve been rebooked onto a flight out of Heathrow at 2:30 tomorrow afteenoon. Unreal!
We’ve been in JFK since 4pm on Saturday.
We now have to find and pay for our own hotel that’ll be refunded. This is driving me mad. So tried.

Both British Airways and Heathrow apologised for the “problems and inconvenience”.

Adverse weather continues to impact flights in the UK and Europe on Sunday December 10, 2017.

We’re sorry for the problems and inconvenience caused by the disruption.

Please check t.co/2Ty8CEO0Dq to ensure your flight is operating before leaving for the airport.

— British Airways (@British_Airways) December 10, 2017

A BA spokeswoman added: “We’re very sorry that some of our customers’ travel plans have been affected by severe weather conditions.

“Heavy rain overnight and snowfall this morning, combined with a reduction in the number of flights able to land at Heathrow have caused disruption to our flight schedule. Like other airlines, we are experiencing some delays and cancellations.

“We’re asking customers to check for information about their flights on ba.com before they set off for the airport, and not to come to the airport unless their flight is operating.

“We have put a flexible re-booking policy in place so that all customers due to fly from Heathrow today, Sunday December 10 and tomorrow, Monday December 11 can re-book to travel on alternative flights until Monday December 18.”

We regret that weather conditions across the UK today has resulted in some passengers experiencing disruption to their travel. Airlines are responsible for ensuring their flights are fully de-iced before they are operated, and this is resulting in some delays and cancellations.

— Heathrow Airport (@HeathrowAirport) December 10, 2017

But it’s a different story for these dogs …

The British Government’s Approach To Brexit Is Slovenly, Chaotic And Delusional

The British Government’s Approach To Brexit Is Slovenly, Chaotic And Delusional

The rallying cry of the Brexiteers prior to the European Union membership referendum was “take back control”. This slogan resonated with those who felt ignored, not listened to and struggling to pay for the necessities of life. They wanted to deliver a slap in the face to the country’s elite who were urging them to vote remain. The Leave campaigners managed to convince enough people that being in the EU is the reason for their misery.

With that, plus the promise of £350 million a week for the NHS if we left the EU, the Brexiteers won. However, the latest twists and turns in the Brexit negotiations have shown that the EU is in the driving seat and in control of events with Britain having to make concession after concession even before moving to trade talks. Britain is losing control. Extra money for the NHS, forget it; it is not going to happen.

And what about the thorny Irish problem? Britain has to find a solution that satisfies the Republic of Ireland and the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). The Republic wants the status quo to continue, namely a frictionless border with the north and freedom of movement across the whole of Ireland. The Democratic Unionist Party(DUP) will not accept special treatment for Ireland; it wants whatever applies to Northern Ireland to apply to the whole of the United Kingdom. Let us not forget that the DUP is keeping the government in power following a promise of £1billion.

The Republic of Ireland is strongly supported by the rest of the EU which will not accept any compromise that is not acceptable to Ireland. The Brexit Secretary, David Davis (he of the phantom Brexit impact assessments) assured the house of commons that Northern Ireland would not be treated as a special case and what ever arrangement agreed for Northern Ireland would apply to the whole of the UK. Does that mean the whole of the UK must stay in the customs union and the single market? Theresa May, however, has ruled that out in an attempt to placate the hard Brexiteers,

As I write this (8 December 2017) it seems that an agreement has been reached with the EU that no hard border should exist between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland; however the devil is in the details. How does that translate on the ground will be the subject of intense negotiations, spanning the British government, the EU, the DUP, and the Republic of Ireland. Good luck with that! What a mess.

What about the divorce bill? Remember Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, told European leaders to “go whistle” if they expected Britain to pay. Now it seems the UK has agreed to pay a figure between £35bn and £39bn and with that the European negotiators agreed to move to phase two, namely trade which may take years. So on what basis did Mr. Johnson made his whistling remark? Did he not know that there are legal commitments binding on the UK to pay a substantial divorce bill? It is all indicative of the lack of foresight and the cavalier delusional mindset of the Brexiteers.

An objective observer will be at a loss to see what advantages Britain will be gaining on leaving the EU. Britain in the EU has had its cake and eating too, having all the privileges of membership and avoiding the two negatives by (a) not being in the Eurozone and thus in control of its currency and (b) in control of its borders by not being in the Schengen area.

It is now becoming blindingly obvious that another referendum on EU membership is necessary as the complexities and the negative consequences of leaving are mounting up. The Labour Party should now join forces with the Greens and the Liberal Democrats and demand another Referendum prior to Brexit. Not to do so is a dereliction of duty towards the people of Britain.

Britain outside the EU will be losing control rather than taking it back. The misery that drove people to vote Brexit was not caused by the EU but by free-market economics and Tory imposed austerity. This combination has seen wealth being siphoned upwards from the many to the very few at the top.
